Delete Files Permanently is an erase-and-wipe program. It allows to erase files and folders permanently using any of the deletion schemes available, and it recovers free space that is no longer used. Once files and folders are erased, they won’t be recovered. It ensures that nobody can access or get information from erased files/folders afterwards using any un-erasing techniques.

The program can be set to always use the default wiping scheme format (which can also be set), to password-protect the program's settings, to create a log file to record all moves and deletions performed by the utility, and there is also a couple of options for running and starting the program.

The program provides fourteen wiping schemes, and this number can be increased by adding new ones. There are two ways to delete a file/folder permanently: by adding it to the Delete Permanently list and performing a permanent deletion in the program, or by clicking with the right mouse button on the file/folder and choosing the Delete Permanently option from the menu.

It also offers the option to "Empty and Wipe" the Recycle Bin, thus getting rid of the trash that has already been “deleted”. Besides, there is a "Wipe Free Space" option that can recover free space. Unfortunately, both these options are only available after purchasing the product.

Delete Files Permanently runs on Windows 98/ME/2000/2003/ XP/ Vista platforms.
